If you’re new here (confession: you’re all new here because I haven’t blogged in ages and on this site ever), then welcome! I’m Sarah (guessing you probably connected those dots though, huh?), an interior stylist for both clients and on TV, the former Home & Garden director for Canada’s largest lifestyle magazine and lover of all things pastel and pretty.
I have decided very last minute—as in last night over cocktails—to sign up for The One Room Challenge. I’ve loved watching many friends transform spaces with the ORC in the past and now I have time to join in on the fun.
But which room to choose? I have been living in my home for just over two years and no room feels finished quite yet. My dining room seemed like the right choice: it’s open to the living room and kitchen and it’s in need of some serious love.
This gloomy day is less than ideal, even for before photos, so these before shots from Instagram will have to do the trick. I know…they’re not great. I promise to have more detailed shots next week, including the too-small sideboard and the too-high-what-the-hell-was-the-builder-thinking chandelier.
I hope you come back next Thursday, when I will share details of how I’ll take this space from basic to beautiful.
